Tender description

We require an operator to run the bus service from the new park and ride facility at Stourton in Leeds, set to open in December 2020. Stourton Park and Ride will be a ‘low-energy’ site, with 100 % electric buses serving Leeds City Centre. A bus operator is required to run the electric bus service from site opening in December 2020 (with a minimum contract period of 5 years). This will include the procurement and delivery of the electric buses for operation from the site. Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme (ULEB) funding has been secured for the service, with the appointed operator meeting the ‘baseline’ costs of the vehicles. It is envisaged that the procurement process will be run through the Combined Authority’s E-Procurement system ‘In-Tend’. The Authority will utilise this system to issue the tender once it becomes available. In the meantime we encourage you to register to ensure smooth access and progression once the tender is live. The Combined Authority will be holding an open day to allow interested suppliers the opportunity to view and ask any questions relating to this procurement.
