The Contracting Authority (Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology) intends to award a contract under the open procedure for renovation/upgrade works at our GMIT Engineering Department - Galway Campus. Contract Awarded on the 28.05.2019 to McDonagh Construction Ltd, 10 Emerson Avenue, Salthill, Galway This project involves the reconfiguration of the existing workshop area including the formation of a new enclosed office and store area. This will result in the minor modifications to other spaces in the vicinity of the workshop. The majority of the work is concentrated in the workshop itself Room 724 but there are some works in areas adjacent to workshop. This will be a turnkey project which will be ready to move into upon completion. The main elements involved are as follows: • Demolitions. • Construction of new walls / formation of door opes • Install of new external & Internal Doors & Screens • Electrical alterations. • Mechanical alterations. • Electrical fit-out (power, lighting, data) • Decoration. • Floor finishes. • Relocation of workshop equipment. • Fire-stopping • Cleaning
