Outdoor major events can be annually recurring or one-off activities – often delivered within a short planning timeframe — and for the purpose of this framework can be defined by the following general characteristics: — national or international profile attracting significant visitor numbers to the city that generate high value economic impact, — lead event organisation via Manchester City Council’s Events Unit, — individual event production lot scoping value of 3 000 GBP — 50 000 GBP for event requirements. For clarification — venue-based events, smaller events organised by MCC of an individual production lot value scoped at less than 3 000 GBP for the lot requirements, or events delivered through an external lead event organiser are not incorporated in this framework and will be subject to existing procurement guidelines and processes.
