This project will support the overall programme to support SMEs within the Leeds City Region to undertake resource efficiency improvements, through access to free audits and grants. The programme will also support a small number of SMEs to develop circular economy business models through fully funded consultancy support. The West Yorkshire Combined Authority are potentially looking to issue a tender in the near future to support SMEs within the Leeds City Region, LEP and North Yorkshire to undertake resource efficiency improvements, through access to free audits and grants. Funding is subject to a successful ERDF application. The project will be an enhancement of Resource Efficiency Fund currently operated by the LEP. At this time the current tender output date and route is unknown but organisations who would like to express an interest in this opportunity should email procurement@westyorks-ca.gov.uk with the title ‘EOI — Ref CA1068 ‘Resource efficiency support for SMEs’ by 3.7.2019 outlining the following: company name, introduction, contact details, confirmation and details of any frameworks you are associated to relating to this requirement, capacity to submit a tender within the coming weeks (approx. August) and capacity to deliver the requirement, company website, confirmation/interest of availability to attend a supplier day specifically highlighting the suitability your organisation can offer to potentially cover the above. It is the intention of the Combined Authority to contact all organisations who have expressed an interest, explaining our intent, in the near future of the initial expression of interest deadline. It is envisaged that the procurement process will be run through the Combined Authority’s E-Procurement system ‘In-Tend’.
