The services of a Systems Accountant to support the implementation of a new Financial Management System at the Heath Research Board

The Health Research Board (HRB) is a statutory agency under the aegis of the Department of Health. As the lead agency in Ireland responsible for supporting and funding health research, information and evidence, we are motivated and inspired by our vision – Healthy people through excellent research and applied knowledge. Reporting to the Head of the Corporate Serviced Unit, the Systems Accountant will support the HRB Finance Team to implement new financial management software called Business World (formerly called Aggresso): The resource supplied must be a qualified accountant with extensive systems and audit experience. Ideally he/she should also have experience of supporting systems implementation. The resource should be available to start immediately • Document existing process flows and map onto the new software • Identify opportunities to enhance system controls and functionality • Document the outcomes of project workshops and agree system specifications • Document and participate in integrated system testing • Support HRB staff in integrated system testing • Conduct initial acceptance testing • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies • Generate historical analysis of test results • Design and test module specific reporting • Prepare test scripts for full system wide User Acceptance Testing • Participate in the design of reports and dashboards • Develop training materials and user manuals
