Tender description

The successful supplier will undertake a programme of structurally testing and inspecting the Council’s Street Lighting Columns from a programme provided by the Council each year. Warwickshire County Council is acting as the lead authority for a collaborative tendering process on behalf of the Councils listed below. A successful tender exercise will result in separate contracts being entered into by each participating Council. Participating Councils are: — Warwickshire County Council (WCC) (for OJEU purposes this is Lot 1), — Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC) (for OJEU purposes this is Lot 2), — Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) (for OJEU purposes this is Lot 3). The successful supplier will undertake a programme of structurally testing and inspecting the Council’s Street Lighting Columns from a programme provided by the Council each year. The successful supplier must structurally test the columns using the ‘Loss of Section’ method outlined in the institution of lighting engineers technical report 22 managing a vital asset: lighting supports 2007 as updated from time to time.
