Tender description

As part of the repairs and maintenance programme, the City of London has identified up to 72 balcony door and window units which need replacing in Petticoat Tower, Middlesex Street. The existing door and window sets will be removed and replaced with new, more efficient and contemporary windows and doors (double glazed). The new window and door sets are required to: - Protect the building from external conditions - Provide privacy and security - Improve acoustic performance as much as reasonably possible - Provide thermal insultation - Aid in the external fabric's resistance to spread of fire - Provide access to daylight and the balcony - Provide controllable ventilation - Resist wind loadings and provide protection from falling and impact
