Tender description
A Traineeship is a programme of structured training which combines learning in an education and training setting and in the workplace. The training begins in an education and training environment, with work placement following either during or after the in-class learning. The Traineeship includes a substantial period of time in the workplace, Tipperary ETB invites tenders to this Request for Tender (RFT) from private training Providers for the provision of the services for the following full-time Traineeships — hospitality operations Traineeship, — tour guiding Traineeship, — understanding, planning, supervising and managing working at heights Traineeship. The services concerned will be required at locations across County Tipperary. The courses may run once, more than once or not at all, depending on the demand and availability of funding. The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to develop knowledge, skills and competence in the art of hospitality, and to work independently under supervision in a range of key areas in a hospitality enterprise. This full-time programme is designed to provide learners with the necessary skills and techniques including accommodation techniques, reception skills, food and beverage service and restaurant skills. This Traineeship is 50 weeks in duration, beginning in an education and training environment, with work placement following either during or after the in-class learning. The traineeship includes a substantial period (generally 30 % minimum/10 weeks) in the workplace, e.g., 3 days per week in work placement/2 days per week in class or block work placement. Development of a traineeship programme is triggered by identification of a skills need within a particular industry. The work-based component is supported by an in-company mentor/supervisor who oversees completion of each trainee’s skills checklist on-the-job. Various locations in Co. Tipperary. The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to provide guiding and tour management services for tourists visiting and travelling in Ireland. The successful completion of the National Tour Guiding Programme enables applicants to source employment in the Tourism Sector — in planning and providing tour guiding services for tourists visiting the whole of Ireland. This Traineeship is 27 weeks in duration, beginning in an education and training environment, with work placement following either during or after the in-class learning. The traineeship includes a substantial period (generally 30 % minimum/10 weeks) in the workplace, e.g., 3 days per week in work placement/2 days per week in class or block work placement. Development of a traineeship programme is triggered by identification of a skills need within a particular industry. The work-based component is supported by an in-company mentor/supervisor who oversees completion of each trainee’s skills checklist on-the-job. Various locations in Co. Tipperary. The aim of this programme is to provide the Telecommunications sector with personnel who have the knowledge, skills and competencies to undertake a range of tasks when using working at height equipment. Also factors that influence the selection of staff and contractors for working at heights. In addition, learners will learn skills on supervision and management of working at heights and evaluating a risk assessment. This Traineeship is 43 weeks in duration, beginning in an education and training environment, with work placement following either during or after the in-class learning. The traineeship includes a substantial period (generally 30 % minimum) in the workplace, e.g., 3 days per week in work placement/2 days per week in class or block work placement. — 27 weeks in class/practical based learning, — 13 weeks work placement. Development of a traineeship programme is triggered by identification of a skills need within a particular industry. The work-based component is supported by an in-company mentor/supervisor who oversees completion of each trainee’s skills checklist on-the-job. Various Locations in Co. Tipperary.
