Tender description

To deliver an intensive sensitive and comprehensive housing management and maintenance service for a tenant management organisation. Formed in 2001, the TMO is a not for profit Industrial and Provident Society (a registered society) under the co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. The management board is formed by a majority of council residents who live in the area of benefit which is located in 291 council owned properties in Canning Town E16 and their surrounding communal areas, which included green space, communal walkways and a car park. The TMO has responsibility under the right to manage regulations to be responsible for the majority of housing management and maintenance services on the estate on behalf of the Council. The TMO gets paid a management allowance from the Council that allows the TMO to employ staff and contractors in order to deliver the service. Based on historical spend the estimated contract value is approx. 650 000 GBP over the initial 5-year contract period and approx. 1 300 000 GBP if the contract is extended to its full 10-year maximum term.
