Tender description

The purpose of this procurement is to provide a tyre service for DaR vehicles to ensure that all vehicle tyres are fit for purpose i.e. not damaged or worn below the internal minimum tread depth limit of 2mm and to replace inadequate, damaged and worn tyres with new tyres. The depots have a stock of spare wheels which are used to replace damaged or worn tyres. While the vehicles are at a depot, DaR fits wheels to axles, as and when necessary, using the spare wheels. Once the stock of spare wheels runs low, DaR requests the Service Provider to attend to depots to remove old tyres and fit new tyres to the rims. The tyre service includes a monthly inspection and written report for all vehicle tyres, repair and replacement as necessary and upkeep of detailed records. Additionally, there is a requirement to provide a roadside tyre replacement service in the event of puncture or damage. Keywords: Fleet, Roadside recovery , Tyre inspection, Tyres, Minibus
