Tender description
Nottingham City Council invited tenders and awarded suitably experienced and qualified contractors for inclusion on a framework to carry out works to highways within the boundaries of Nottingham City. This lot will involve numerous tasks within the discipline of groundworks including but not limited to: — demolition of walls, removing of fences, removal of waste from site, keeping sites clean and tidy, assisting with general groundworkers duties (digging, shovelling, marking out, and landscaping), operating site machinery (diggers and dumpers), — brick and block work, retaining wall, and including wall foundations, — shuttering Joiner, mould making, shuttering, installing formwork and general concrete knowledge, — labouring, hand digging, and operating machinery, — removal of waste from sites, ensuring site is clean. This lot covers tasks within the discipline of drainage including but not limited to labouring, hand digging laying drainage to a supplied design, conducting repairs, fault finding and operating machinery. Other duties will include the operator carrying out general site duties, such as manual labour, general housekeeping and any other task reasonability considered a site duty. This lot will involve numerous tasks within the discipline of electrical engineering including but not limited to labouring (electricians mate), connecting illuminated signs, connections to DNO highways services, and in some cases street lighting, also conducting general housekeeping and other task reasonability considered a site duty. — electrical labour: duties included but not limited to: working alone, assisting electricians on projects, reading and interpreting drawings, — electrical engineer: duties included but not limited to supervision of small team of workman for tasks such as: maintain high technical standard, take responsibility of your own and the team H&S, maintain electrical installations and equipment in accordance with current regulations, electrical testing and inspections, and to keep records and complete all necessary paperwork.
