Tender description

The repairs service within RBKC is seeking to engage with multiple suppliers to deliver a range of services, namely minor works and repairs and professional advisors for the development, design and delivery of projects for faults, repairs and small works, all of which will be delivered across all locations in which the Authority operates. The objective is to ensure value for money, service satisfaction and contractual performance for the Authority. Each Supplier appointed to the framework will be required to enter into a contract directly with the Authority for up to 4 years. The scope of works to be covered within general building works lot shall include but not be limited to the following works: — buildings and improvements, — slabs, — attached decks, — chimneys, — debris, — utility disconnections, — attached canopies, — ramps, — steps, — above-ground and below-ground supports, including slabs, — skirting, — tie-downs, — porches, — steps, — personal property, — ramps, — general maintenance. The scope of works to be covered within the roofing works lot shall include but not be limited to the following roofing systems: — flat roofing, — pitched roofing, — metal roofing. The scope shall also include the repair of the roof structure, e.g. replacement of rotten joists or rafters on a like for like basis. Insertion of insulation, the provision of battens and counter battens. The provision of sheeting or boarding on pitched roofs, decking on flat roofs — this includes structural steel decking and industrial/commercial, heritage and educational buildings: — flashing, guttering, re-pointing, eaves and verge work, — provision of roof lights — provided they are only inserted between rafters/joists where existing structure is not altered, — tiling, slating, soffits, fascia’s and gutters, — built up felt roofing, — metal roofing — lead, copper and zinc, — liquid applied systems, — hot melt systems, — asphalt, — single ply membrane, — green/brown roof systems. The scope of works to be covered within the windows/glazing lot shall include but not be limited to the following: — fitting security bars to windows, — fitting new locks, — installing window frames, — replace and repair stained glass windows/glazing, — replace and repair windows and glazing, — UPVC, Metal, Wooden windows, — repairing frames, glass, — supply of double glazed units, single pane glass. The scope of works to be covered within the windows/glazing lot shall include but not be limited to the following: — fitting security bars to windows, — fitting new locks, — installing window frames, — replace and repair stained glass windows/glazing, — replace and repair windows and glazing, — UPVC, Metal, Wooden windows, — repairing frames, glass, — supply of double glazed units, single pane glass. The scope of works to be covered within the plumbing lot shall include but not be limited to the following: — fit new taps (bathrooms, kitchens, toilets), — fit new showers, — repair taps and showers, — fit baths, toilets and sinks, — renew copper and plastic tubing. The scope of works to be covered within the voids lot shall include but not be limited to the following: — re-decoration, — flooring, — electrics, — kitchen replacement, — bathroom install, — shower install, — glazing, — damp proofing, — FRA works.
