Catering Concesion: Hilsea Splashpool

Portsmouth City Council is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers to tender for this project. The scope of which will comprise of but may not be limited to providing and operating a catering concession at the Hilsea Splashpool. The Hilsea Splashpool is located at the Hilsea Lido, London Road, Portsmouth is shown on the map below. The splashpool is a popular destination for families, especially those with young children. Weather permitting, the splashpool opens daily from 11am to 6pm from the end of May until September each year. The successful operator will be expected to deliver their catering provision from a kiosk at the splashpool. The kiosk measures 3m x 3m and has water, drainage and electricity. Offers should include hot and cold drinks and snacks as well as ice creams. Offers that include the sale of alcohol will not be considered. The successful operator will be obligated to sell swim nappies in a variety of sizes. The successful operator will deliver a rental income to the Council and will contribute £100 per annum towards the cost of unmetered electricity, waste and water. The initial contract period will be for two years. Please note, the splashpool is open daily, weather permitting, from 11am to 6pm from late May to September.
