Tender description
Nottingham City Homes is seeking to appoint a Fencing and a Horticultural contractor. The tender will be divided into 2 lots: — Lot 1: Delivery of Fencing Work, — Lot 2: Delivery of Horticultural Services. The appointed contractors will have work allocated based on, schedule of rates, value of the project, geographical location, current and projected workloads, contractor’s performance and capabilities, achievable targets within specific time frames and budgets, available resources required to deliver specific projects, number of trainees and any other factors that may influence the designation. The contract will last 2 years with the possibility to extend the contract further 2 years. For guidance purposes only, it is anticipated that the total value works over the 2-year period will amount to approximately 2 500 000,00 GBP. Note that this is the total value of the contract for both Lot 1.0 and Lot 2.0 combined. Fencing Projects Lot — 1.0. Projects will vary in value and with locations that are citywide across Nottingham. Examples of fencing projects could include: — general improvement works to NCH estates, — works in relation to assist in reducing antisocial behaviour, improved safety and security to surrounding neighbourhoods, — installation of security fencing of varying types and heights to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour, — installation of security gates, — closing off short cuts and areas where antisocial behaviour may be taking place, — installation of fencing to the perimeter of NCH managed buildings, — installing new fencing as required to various buildings located on housing land, — remove and replace existing fencing that is old or damaged, — removing existing fencing and replacing with varying types of fencing appropriate for the location, — installation of fencing to boundary walls, existing and new, — increasing security to existing boundary areas and the creation of new boundary areas where required. Horticultural Services Lot — 2.0. Projects will vary in value and with locations that are citywide across Nottingham. Examples of Horticultural projects could include: — creation of roof gardens, — specialist planting schemes, — green walls, — area planting design and delivery, — transformation of open spaces, — allotments, — community schemes.
