Tender description
Barnsley MBC (hereafter referenced as the Council) is looking to award a contract to design, supply, install and maintain a new software defined campus network. Suppliers will be required to design a solution for both wired and wireless networks in a selection of town centre buildings, and, if required, replace the wireless networks in the remainder of the network in order to provide integration. Prospective suppliers will need to have a proven track record of designing, implementing and maintaining high-performance software defined network services. Suppliers will be expected to design solutions that leverage the benefits of the Council’s extensive optical fibre networks, and are also able to integrate with legacy network infrastructures for management and enforcement of policy.
