This project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the safety issues and chain of responsibility, due to the manufacture of 3D printed spare parts for consumer appliances by unauthorised 3rd party manufacturers. The results of this project will provide the Office with a well-researched evidence base for this subject area, that will be used to inform our views on this subject. The report will be published, and is likely to also be of interest to equipment manufacturers and others involved in the supply of spare parts. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
