Clontarf to City Centre Cycle Route. Detailed Ground Investigation

Tender description

The detailed ground investigation works are required to provide geotechnical, structural and utilities ans services information to allow the design and construction of segragated cycle tracks on either side of the carriageway from Custom House Quay to Alfie Byrnr Road via Amiens Street, North Strand Road and Fairview. In addition, works are required in Fairview Park and along the northern bank of the Tolka River. The scope of the works envisaged under the Contract include: a) Vertical cable percussion boreholes and rotary core drilling, sampling and in-situ testing; b) Trial pits, sampling and testing; c) Slit trenching for foundations and utilities; d) Horizontal coring through existing retaining structures; e) Laboratory testing of soil samples for engineering properties; f) Pavement evaluation; g) Preparation of detailed Main Factual Report as per BS5390 and the Specification, together with the production of Digital Data to AGS Version 3.1(1999) Format h) Liasion with Dublin City Council and external bodies; i) Works including the use of traffic management in urban areas; j) Works on and adjacent to live railway lines.
