Tender description

NHSBT will tender for a framework during 2019 for the provision of a contingency service where the supplier can make available vehicles suitable for transporting therapeutic blood components at -30 ºC. NHSBT will consider: — a solution where the supplier provides vehicles only. In this scenario the supplier will be required to provide training provision in the use of any specialist equipment (temperature logging devices, etc.), — a solution where the supplier provides a complete distribution solution. (i.e. vehicles and driver support). This could involve distribution between all NHSBT sites, and deliveries from any of these NHSBT sites to all hospital customers (350+ locations England wide). Responses after this date won’t be excluded from taking part in the tender, this date is to allow for supplier engagement to be organised.
