GB-Sheffield: SME Export Finance Study

Tender description

The British Business Bank wishes to commission a Study to better understand the nature and significance of the role of access to finance in influencing exporting behaviour amongst UK SMEs. As part of this, the Study will investigate the number, nature and behaviour of SMEs that are either currently exporting, or could export. While focusing on understanding the dynamics around access to finance for potential/current SME exporters, the Study will also seek to place access to finance challenges in context, alongside other barriers to starting to export and/or increasing exporting. The SME Export Finance Study is being led by the British Business Bank, working closely with key stakeholders at UK Export Finance (UKEF), the Department of International Trade (DIT) and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
