Tender description

Provision of delivery of live planting stock to Forest Districts (FD) across Scotland either grown in house at Newton Nursery near Elgin or inbound to Newton Nursery from a private sector nursery. Under Lot 1, this contract covers primarily the whole of Scotland with bagged products, although deliveries may also be required to England on occasion. Lot 2 is crate/stillage based only, road haulage between Lochgilphead and Newton Nursery. This requirement is for the delivery of trees grown at Newton Nursery, or purchased from other external nurseries which are packed in co-extruded Polythene Bags for delivery to our customers throughout Scotland with an estimated annual mileage of 35 000-50 000. The requirement is for the road haulage of live plants, packed in co-extruded poly-bags and subsequently packaged in crates where they will be loaded by mechanical means. The Newton Nursery near Elgin and the Cold Store at Cairnbaan will provide mechanical equipment in order to load and unload the vehicle.
