Ref: [6992] : Supply of Train lifting Jacks for Fairview Depot Iarnród Éireann has a requirement for the supply of 8no.Train Lifting Jacks for our Fairview Depot, the Lifting Jacks including all pertinent accessories shall be designed, installed, and commissioned to lift bodies and bogies of IÉ’s 8100/8300 Class EMU [Electric Multiple Unit] fleet and 8500-10-20 Classes of EMU by their lifting arm pockets to allow bogies or other underframe equipment to be changed. Each jack must be capable of independent operation in order to deploy the lifting arm to the lifting pocket of the vehicle. The set of jacks must be operated in unison. The EMU fleet to be served by this system will number approx. 150 cars comprising of the 8100 series, 8300 series and 8500. The present fleet comprises vehicles from Siemens, Mitsui and Alsom.
