Tender description

Efficiency East Midlands Ltd (EEM) is a procurement consortium which establishes and manages a range of framework agreements. EEM wishes to enter a framework agreement with multiple contractors in order to support our Members by providing a framework of contractors with suitable experience in undertaking minor and major adaption works and all associated building, plumbing and electrical works on behalf of local authorities. Adaptation works will help our Members, service users, enjoy their daily lives by maintaining a level of independence within their own home. Due to the geographical spread of the EEM Memberships, we have split the framework into 4 regional lots and 1 national lot. This framework is being set up to support EEM Members located in the East Midlands by providing a framework of contractors with suitable experience in undertaking minor and major adaptation works and all associated building, plumbing and electrical works on behalf of local authorities. Adaptation works will help our Members, service users, enjoy their daily lives by maintaining a level of independence within their own home. The main elements of worked covered by this framework are listed below, please refer to the specification for a comprehensive list of requirements: — Supply and fit of bathroom aids level access shower adaptation and associated works, — Supply and installation of internal and external grab rails in various sizes, — Kitchen Adaptation, — Electrical works to include: telephone intercom systems, portable flashing doorbell system and strobe and vibrating smoke alarms, switch re-positioning, — Joinery works to include: door frame widening, door opening adjustments and aluminium kick plates. External works to include the creation of: — Stepped approaches, half height and full steps. — Vehicle hard standing's. — Concrete posts and timber fencing and gates – various sizes. — Widening of and relaying of pedestrian level paths around the property. — Installation of Ramps.
