Tender description
Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) and Peterborough City Council (PCC) invite tenders for the provision of services that are divided into 2 lots: 1) Appropriate adult services for children and vulnerable adults in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough; 2) Reparation services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. CCC will be the lead Authority and will award the contracts for both lots. The successful provider(s) or partnership(s) will hold two separate contracts — one contract for Lot 1 and one contract for Lot 2. Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC), Peterborough City Council (PCC), Cambridgeshire constabulary and the office of the police and crime commissioner (OPCC) are co-commissioners and funders of the Appropriate adult service. CCC and PCC are the joint commissioners of the reparation service. The Appropriate Adult Service is joint commissioned by Cambridgeshire County Council, Peterborough City Council, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The service must meet the statutory duties that apply to this service. The provider must have a detailed understanding of the relevant legislation and duties that apply, and the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. The contract is for an initial period of 3 years, with an optional extension of a further 1 year. Further details can be found in the service specification. The reparation service is jointly commissioned by Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council. Reparation is often an agreed outcome of the restorative justice process. Reparation is a structured way of repairing or making amends for the offence and the harm done. Reparation can take place alongside, as part of, or instead of, certain formal criminal justice proceedings. It seeks to balance the concerns of victim and community with the need to reintegrate the offender into society. The contract is for an initial period of 3 years with an optional extension of a further 1 year. More information can be found in the service specification.
