Tender description

Birmingham Airport is seeking to put in place a framework for a 5 year period for the supply of explosive threat detection equipment. The framework will be a single source arrangement. The Airport intends to procure a quantity of 20 machines in the financial year 2018/19, with a further 10 machines in the financial year 2019/20. Thereafter machines will be ordered as and when required in response to growth at the Airport which will generate additional demand. The requirement encapsulates the supply of machines, the training of operatives and staff who will be tasked with providing fault detection and basis support of the machines. There will also be a requirement to provide technical support for the machines on a planned and reactive basis.
