Tender description

The SME Holding Fund is a Fund-of-Funds managed by Scottish Government which invests in microfinance, debt and early stage equity funds which further invest in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (see European Commission definition at: http://ec.europa.eu/growth/smes/business-friendly-environment/sme-definition_en) with growth and/or export potential. The SME Holding Fund is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund from the 2014-2020 European Structural Funds Programmes in Scotland. There will be an Open Day for this requirement on 11.4.2018, the details of which are included below and the invitation form is included within additional documents as part of this PIN Notice. Open Day is booked for 11.4.2018, 12:30-15:00 at: Scottish Government, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU. We intend to appoint envisage one delivery agent in the microfinance lot, managing a microfinance fund on our behalf lending up to 25 000 to businesses employing less than 10 staff. We intend to appoint 2 delivery agents in the equity lot who will manage funds which provide equity finance to SMEs with high growth potential, investing equity finance in amounts of up to 2 000 000 and within a maximum deal ceiling of 10 000 000. We intend to appoint 2 delivery agents in the debt lot, one managing a fund which provides loans in the range 25 000 GBP — 100 000 GBP to SMEs and the other managing a fund which provides loans in the range 100 000 to 1 000 000 GBP to SMEs.
