Energy emissions data and MAC curves for 1990 to 2050 for (1) all countries and sectors covered by the EU ETS and (2) key emitting countries and regions which together provide global coverage.

Tender description

BEIS began a procurement in January 2017 and awarded a contract on 01/03/2017 for Enerdata to produce Business As Usual (BAU) emissions projections and marginal abatement cost (MAC) curves over the period 1990 to 2050 (A) for all countries and sectors covered by the EU ETS and (B) for key emitting countries and regions which together provide global coverage. The project outputs are new data, which are inputs to BEIS in-house Carbon Price Model and GLOCAF model, and an accompanying technical report. The contract with the chosen supplier was for one year with the option to extend to two years by mutual consent. The VEAT notice is being issued because of an error on the original OJEU Contact notice regarding the contract value, which displayed for a single year. The value advertised was for £150,000 with an option to extend for a further year. The VEAT notice corrects this discrepancy and allows for a small additional requirement for additional scenarios.
