Tender description

This tender is to establish a Framework for the supply of Surgical Instruments-Single Use and Reusable. The Framework will cover a comprehensive range of instruments for general surgery and the following specialty areas: ENT, Gynae and Obstetrics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Orthopaedics, and Cardiothoracic. The ITT will be run as a GPO Open exercise and is exclusively limited to HTE GPO members who have agreed to participate and commit volume to the awarded suppliers for a period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further year. Additional GPO members may choose to enter a Call-Off Contract during the first year of the Term of the Framework Agreement on a direct award basis provided that those members agree to adhere to the commitment requirements of this Contract. The requirements are split into two Lots and bidders are able to bid for one or both Lots: — Lot 1 Single Use Instruments, — Lot 2 Reusable Instruments. The objective of Lot 1 is to deliver the best value framework for participating members of the GPO in respect of quality, safety, service and price for Single Use Surgical Instruments. This Lot will be awarded to two suppliers and will include instruments for General surgery, ENT, ENT Accessories, Gynaecology Cardiothoracic, and Vascular. Terms and Conditions / Activity Based Income (ABI). The terms and conditions of this Framework Agreement and any resulting Call-Off contract are appended to the ITT. These terms include provisions requiring the payment by the supplier of an ABI management charge in consideration of the award of this framework agreement, the management and administration by HTE of the overall contract structure and associated documentation, as well as the requirement to submit regular management information to HTE. Submission of Expressions of Interest and Procurement Information. This exercise will be conducted on the HTE Bravo portal.
