This is a voluntary ex-ante transparency notice. Wandsworth Borough Council intends to direct award a contract to citizens advice Wandsworth for the delivery of a generalist community advice service from 1.4.2018 for a period of 24 months with an option for the council to extend in yearly increments for a further 2 years to 31.3.2022. This VEAT notice is published under the public contract regulations 2015 (Regulation 99). The procurement relates to the provision of community advice services. Wandsworth Council is seeking to continue the provision of generalist and specialist advice for people who live or provide unpaid care for someone living in the borough. Community advice includes both generalist and specialist advice and can relate to information, advice and guidance on rights, responsibilities, entitlements and duties in relation to welfare benefits, debts and financial problems, housing, employment, immigration and related areas of law for those people who live, work, or provide unpaid care in Wandsworth. Where appropriate, people may be signposted to relevant specialist advice providers either within their borough or on a wider basis. As part of their remit, community advice providers are also involved with key strategic forums.
