EHRC 1718-40 Toolkit development in support of the Housing Inquiry

Tender description

We are looking for a suitably experienced contractor(s) with expert knowledge of housing and disability issues. We are aiming to develop a range of resources to support local authorities and disabled people. For local authorities, these will aim to encourage best practise. There will be an emphasis on more effective involvement of disabled people, in the development and scrutiny of policies and practices and integrating disability and housing considerations into strategic planning. For disabled people and disabled people's organisations, the resource will support their efforts claim their right to independent living, through access to more appropriate housing. This will be through being better informed of their legal entitlements, knowing where to go to for support and what questions to ask. These resources will need to be developed to work across England, Scotland and Wales and there are separate lots for the local authority resources in the three nations.
