Tender description
The Council's ambition for specialist housing is that it provides “the right home, with the right care, at the right time”. The Council is in the process of developing a commissioning and procurement strategy for accommodation and support services, for young people at risk and care leavers, adult mental health and transitioning from children to adult services. Commissioners are holding a provider event on 28.1.2019 to talk through our vision. Our initial thoughts on how this new purchasing arrangement will be set up is through an adapted Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), designed to stimulate new relationships with a greater range of potential partners, and to allow us to do this with greater flexibility which respond better to residents' need. We want to drive greater personalisation with a series of lots which define user needs with successful providers able to bid for individualised support packages based on “personas”. Specialist housing and support services for people with mental health, carer leavers, young people at risk and young people transitioning to adult services with on going health and care needs.
