Electricity and Gas Retail Market Consumer Surveys 2017

Tender description

The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator. The CER was established in 1999 and now has a wide range of economic, customer protection and safety responsibilities in energy. The CER is also the regulator of Ireland’s public water and wastewater system. The CER currently wishes to engage Market Research Service Providers to conduct the annual consumer survey of domestic and SME customers in the gas and electricity retail markets in Ireland. The objective of the survey is to examine consumer attitudes to and, awareness of, electricity and gas supply competition and associated issues. The Annual Survey has been undertaken since 2009 and is an essential element of the market monitoring that is required to ensure that consumers are benefitting from competition. The CER wishes to tender for consumer surveys in the domestic and SME customers for 2017.
