N16 Drummahan Realignment – Archaeological Consultancy Services Contract [Stage (i) – (iv) Services]

Tender description

The Contract involves the provision of archaeological consultancy services required in advance of construction of the proposed N16 Drummahan Realignment, comprising Test Excavation and Survey Services [Stage (i)a + Stage (i)c], Pre-Excavation Services [Stage (ii)], Excavation Services [Stage (iii)] & Post-Excavation and Dissemination Services [Stage (iv)] Stage (i) Test Excavation and Survey Services, as part of this contract, will be required for – Stage (i)a - Standard Test Excavation of 12% of relevant Lands Made Available, approximately 12,704 sq. m. viable for testing; Stage (i)c - Test Excavations in Weland, approximately 36,924 sq. m. viable for testing; Stage (i) Services shall be carried out for a fixed price lump sum, as tendered Stage (ii) Services will be required for - any sites identified during Stage (i) carried out as part of this contract. Stage (ii) Services (UMM item 4.13) shall be carried out on the basis of a fixed price lump sum determined by the Client, according to rates per square meter for Stage (ii) as tendered Stage (iii) Services shall be carried out on the basis of a Fixed Price Lump Sum, determined by the Client according to rates and prices for Stage (iii) as tendered and in accordance with the Excavation Specification for each site. Stage (iv) Services shall proceed on the basis of agreement by the Client of proposals from the Consultant for each archaeological site excavated during earlier Stages. Stage (iv) Services shall be carried out for a fixed price lump sum based on the percentage as tendered by the Consultant for Stage (iv) Services of the outturn cost of the Stage (iii) Services for the Contract.
