The Livestock Information Programme (LIP) has the remit to deliver a replacement Livestock Information Service for England (and potentially Wales) along with ensuring a full UK wide view by combining with data provided by Scotland and Northern Ireland. To support this remit LIP is seeking to procure a Core Livestock Application to underpin the service. Setting up this new service means replacing three species-specific services for cattle, sheep and goats and pigs, with a single multi-species service.
