Tender description

There is a requirement, based on previous research, to determine the dietary intake of British Army recruits, with particular focus on dietary protein and calcium intake given the link between these nutrients and musculoskeletal adaptation, improvements in strength and injury risk during training. The principal aim of this research programme is to determine whether chronic daily pre-sleep protein supplementation enhances physical adaptions to training and markers of recovery. Furthermore, the aim is to establish if protein supplementation reduces the incidence of injury and illness during training.
