Tender description

Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Service as Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) (the “Authority”) wishes to invite Tenders for the supply of services in respect of adult training courses across Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough local authority areas. The Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Service is recognised as a high performing and experienced Service. We rely on funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency as an executive agency of the Department of Education. Lot 1 is generally for higher volume delivery and learners will typically be referred (though not exclusively) by Jobcentre Plus, for example: — generic employability courses, — sector specific courses, — ICT courses. These courses may be commissioned on an area-wide basis (i.e. Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough) as a programme which will be delivered over 1 or more academic years. These also may be commissioned for specific cohorts of learners as individual courses according to need and location. Individual learning aims may be specified. Specific cohorts of learners according to need, for example: — mental health, — recovering from addiction, — homelessness, — minority groups. These may be commissioned on a area-wide basis (i.e. Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough) as a programme which will be delivered over 1 or more academic years. Alternatively commissioning maybe more localised and/or specific i.e. a First Aid course at a Housing Association. Individual learning aims may be specified.
