Tender description

Procure and appoint suitably experienced and competent Roadwork and Surfacing Contractors to deliver the works: several packages of Non-Strategic Roads (up to 6 lots). Designs being prepared by more than 1 designer, together with multiple “Walk and Build” schemes initially scoped by LCC. Therefore delivery of these designs are in discrete packages and on different timescales. Those repaired under the “Walk and Build” method, will be for the Contractors undertake the final Design (inc. level surveys and will carry the Liability for the whole of the works on each scheme. The spec. and contract will be flexible enough to deal with the 2 scenarios. The outline works scope: — drainage repairs and gully replacement (if necessary) — core sampling and analysis — localised Kerbing — additional Core sampling and MaterialTesting — road planing and removal (possible removal of bituminous mix. containing tar), — road construction and re-surface, — road markings.
