Tender description

The Council has an immediate requirement to outright purchase a Forestry tractor complete with Forwarding Trailer. The equipment offered is to be new and unused. It is essential that the Council is supported by equipment that is fit for purpose and the most suitable for types of operations the Council undertakes as described in the tender documentation. The Council expects a first class after-sales service from the successful Supplier to ensure a high quality of service delivery is maintained throughout the life expectancy of the equipment. The Council has an immediate requirement to outright purchase a Forestry tractor complete with Forwarding Trailer. The equipment offered is to be new and unused. It is essential that the Council is supported by equipment that is fit for purpose and the most suitable for types of operations the Council undertakes. The Council expects a first class after-sales service from the successful Supplier to ensure a high quality of service delivery is maintained throughout the life expectancy of the equipment which is expected to be 7 years. Suppliers will be expected to provide a minimum ‘bumper to bumper’ warranty period of at least 1 year without limitation on use from the date of actual in-service date for the complete vehicle and all fitted equipment. The “bumper to bumper” is all-inclusive, incorporating manufacturer’s parts and labor warranty. This cost should be included in the total vehicle price.
