Sligo Unversity Hospital - Boiler Plant Replacement

Tender description

The project includes the Replacement of 2 no. MTHW Boilers with 3 No. MTHW Boilers. The contractor will be responsible for the installation of associated boiler plant including pressuiration equipment, Heat exchangers, circulating pumps, valves, pipework & insulation. The exisitng boiler flues & a solid fuel hopper installation are to be demolished on site. A free standing flue will be installed on a new concrete plinth to the rear of the boiler house. The boiler house will be extensively renovated to accomodate the proposed new boiler plant & equipment. Builders works is required including construction & fitting out of the renovated boiler house, roof alterations to accomodate the new flue installation, & works associated with a bunded oil storage compound. Electrical Works include replacement cabling, local isolators for boiler plant, emergency lighting & fire alarm works. The BMS in the boiler house is to be updated & new boiler house panels are to be installed. The works require phasing of shutdowns of old equipment and changeovers to new equipment. Close Integration will be required with the maintenance department in the hospital. Main contract works include management & co-ordination of M&E works, health & safety co-ordination & interaction with Hospital Maintenance to procure the works in an acceptable phased manner to ensure no interruption of hospital services.
