Tender description

ECMWF will publish a number of tenders during the first quarter of 2019 for the procurement of goods and services under its BOND programme. BOND programme oversees the relocation of ECMWF’s data centre from its current facility in Reading, UK to a new data centre in Bologna, Italy. Background on BOND programme is available at https://www.ecmwf.int/en/about/media-centre/press-kit-bologna-host-ecmwfs-new-data-centre The types of goods and services that will be procured are (the list is not exhaustive): cabling, racking, servers, disks and storage, electrical equipments, network equipments, security equipments, facility management. ECMWF will also hold an "Industry Day" in mid January 2019 (targeted date is around 15.1.2019) in order to publicise the procurements that will be taking place during 2019 for the BOND programme. The suppliers who are interested to participate will need to register in accordance with the information that will be announced on ECMWF web page at https://www.ecmwf.int/en/about/suppliers Suppliers are advised to follow the updates on ECMWF web site for participating to the industrial day event and for publication of upcoming tenders.
