Tender description

Cheshire Police and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service have a requirement to procure internal audit services. The role of internal audit is to provide independent objective assurance that an organisation's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. The internal audit service is expected to take a proactive approach to the improvement of systems and work with the Police and Crime Commissioner, the Chief Constable and Cheshire Fire Authority, the External Audit Services, the Cheshire Police Independent Audit Committee and Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary to enable the achievement of best practice and value. The Internal audit service is expected to take a proactive approach to the improvement of systems and enable the achievement of best practice and value for money including delivering continuous improvement and eliminating waste and no — value adding activity.
