Redevelopment of Recruitment Practices

SOLAS require a HR expertise to develop a new strategic recruitment process for the orangisation. In 2016, SOLAS introduced a competency model framework, which refers to a combination of skills, attributes, and behaviours that are directly related to the successful performance on the job. However, the existing recruitment policy, which had been designed and used in a previous organisation (FAS), and is still used in SOLAS, did not include references nor key attributes to the new competency model, nor were the key competencies required to do the job fully mapped out for an organisation that had fundamentally changed its mandate. There is now a need to re-develop a new strategic recruitment process at SOLAS, to aid SOLAS HR to deliver on its workforce plan commitments and to ensure best practice in recruitment. The objective SOLAS wishes to achieve is a fully functional mapped process with identified procedural steps linked to our recruitment policy, which is currently under development.
