Tender description
Bristol City Council (the “Authority” or “BCC”) is wishing to procure a managed network and telephony service for The Bottle Yard Studios (TBYS). The Bottle Yard Studios: The Bottle Yard Studios (TBYS) is a successful television and film studio facility based in south Bristol, wholly owned and managed by Bristol City Council. The business has rapidly expanded since 2010 and is ever evolving in response to the demands of the industry and media related clients. The site comprises of 8 studio spaces, production offices and industrial “warehouse” space (the latter most commonly used for construction, costume and prop departments). TBYS can have up to 6 large productions on site at any one time, in varying stages of pre-production, filming and/or post production. It is unusual to have more than 3 productions filming on any given day. On filming days, each production has a shooting crew of approx. 100 people and any number of supporting artists (SAs) can be brought in to fill background scenes. This can be anything between 10-60 additional people per production (although it is very rare to have all productions needing high SA levels on the same days). Accordingly, the site averages approx. 200 people on site on any given day, spiking up to 600 during peak multiple filming days. The Bottle Yard Studios (“the Bottle Yard” or “TBYS”) are looking for a supplier to provide new network connectivity, new telephony solution and new IT support services.
