Tender description

Site Investigation and Risk Assessment of Site at Townparks Carrick-on-Suir. Tipperary County Council is considering the purchase of a 3.5 hectare site located in Townparks, Carrick-on-Suir for the purpose of building a road and bus/car park on a portion of the site. The site is considered a brownfield site; in the past construction and demolition materials were used to raise the level of the site. Tipperary County Council requires an assessment of the geotechnical suitability of the site for the construction of the road and an estimate of the possible additional cost that may be incurred due to the brownfield conditions found. The site is located adjacent to the Lower River Suir Special Area of Conservation. A portion of the site is located within the buffer zone of a National Monument. There are also extensive areas of invasive species i.e. Japanese Knotweed, visible on the site.
