Tender description

This additional capacity is to ensure that everyone has access to GP services, including sufficient routine and same day appointments at evenings and weekends to meet locally determined demand, alongside effective access to other Primary Care and General Practice services such as urgent care services. This must include ensuring access is available during peak times of demand, including: — Bank Holidays and across the Easter, — Christmas and New Year periods. Local context extended access services have historically been provided across the: — Hambleton, — Richmondshire and — Whitby (HRW) CCG (the commissioner) locality under a NHSE Yorkshire and Humber contract. Through this procurement the CCG has the opportunity to increase the integration and service alignment of extended access with other service operating outside of core hours across the HRW footprint and further develop service and care being provided closer to home. The selection of a single provider to deliver core GP services to the patient population for the CCG within the hours described in the services specification. This will be an initial 3 year contract with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
