Tender description

Aims and Objectives of the Project The key aim of the project is to get a detailed understanding from the publications arising from the use of Tier 1 ( HECTOR 2007-2014 and ARCHER 2013-ono) and Tier 2 HPC ( 5 regional centres funded in 2012 and 6 centres funded in 2016) about the nature of the research, in terms of subject areas, quality and collaboration. , The key questions for this study are: • Which areas of research have benefitted from the use of HPC (for example through an analysis of the range of disciplines/fields represented in the HPC publication set) • What is the quality of research enabled by the HPC (for example through and analysis of citation impact, and occurrence in top citation percentiles benchmarked against appropriate comparators) • To what extent is collaborative research being fostered through the use of the HPC facilities (including collaborations across academia-business, between disciplines, and with international partners)? This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
