Web Archiving Services in the National Library of Ireland

Tender description

The mission of the National Library of Ireland (NLI) is to collect, protect and make available the recorded memory of Ireland including books, manuscripts, newspapers, photographs, prints, maps, drawings, ephemera, music and digital media. The National Library is open, free of charge, to all those who wish to consult the collections for material not otherwise available through the public library service or an academic library. The National Library of Ireland is embarking on a single party framework tender process to enable the library to continue developing its two web archiving programmes: Selective Web Archiving and Domain Web Archiving. The National Library of Ireland proposes to engage in a competitive process in order to establish a single-party framework agreement for Web Archiving Services. In summary the services are: • Selective Web Archiving – Lot 1 • Domain Web Archiving – Lot 2 For each lot it is expected that during any 12 month timeframe the successful tenderer(s) will be invited to respond to requests from the NLI to undertake web archiving as required and this 12 month timeframe will be known for the purposes of the tender as the framework annual work schedule. Should additional funding become available, the successful tenderer(s) must be in a position to deal with the increase in capacity.
