Technical and design services for 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 Generation Apprenticeship competitions

Tender description

SOLAS is seeking proposals from interested parties for technical support and related design services to support a Generation Apprenticeship competition for the next two years 2018-2019 and 2019-2020. The competition ran for the first time during 2018-2019 and collateral from the first competition can be viewed on www.apprenticeship.ie. The competition invited apprentices from all industry sectors and occupations to use their skills to reproduce large-scale versions of the Generation Apprenticeship ‘A’ brand. The tagline and branding ‘Generation Apprenticeship’ was developed in 2017 and will run to 2020 in support of the 2020 national targets for apprenticeship. The overall objective of the competition and of the Generation Apprenticeship campaign is to raise awareness, secure engagement and drive achievement of 2020 targets for apprenticeship in Ireland. By 2020, it is intended to have 9,000 apprentice registrations annually on up to 78 apprenticeship programmes, with over 7,000 participating employers. It is intended that the competition will provide a primary focal point for promotion of apprenticeship opportunities in Ireland. The brief is to provide high-quality, technical and design advice and expertise to SOLAS and to competition entrants as well as artwork and related design support for the competition as part of the overall Generation Apprenticeship campaign which SOLAS is leading on behalf of the national Apprenticeship Council.
