The North Yorkshire Coast Opportunity Area is one of the 12 areas identified by the government in 2016 as a social mobility "cold spot". The Department for Education is prioritising resource in this and 11 other areas across the country to bring local and national partners together to improve social mobility for children and young people, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Information about North Yorkshire Coast Opportunity Area is available at https://northyorkshirecoastoa.co.uk/ The North Yorkshire Coast Opportunity Area is looking for an Event Management Co-ordinator to assist running a programme of events across the week for parents, teachers and pupils, both in schools and wider community spaces.
