Tender description

The authority is seeking to procure a “Multiple Provider Framework" of constructors to support the delivery of the authority’s “Council House Building Programme” (CHBP). Constructors will be expected to work as part of an integrated project team to deliver the programme. The estimated construction value over the duration of the framework (4 years) is 20 000 000 GBP. The authority is separately procuring a multi-disciplinary design team and employer's agent/cost consultant. The “Works" comprise of the design and build of new build housing as part of the authority's “Council House Building Programme". Works will be called-off under the Framework Alliance Contract (FAC-1) published by the association of consultant architects. The authority will use both single and 2 stage design and build procurement routes under JCT design and Build Contract 2016. Where a 2 stage route is used, the constructor will enter into a pre-construction services agreement and contribute to design from: Stage 3: Developed Design. For Single Stage D&B, the Constructor will provide design services from: Stage 4: Technical Design. The constructor will fulfil the role of “Principal Contractor" and “Principal Designer" (when design shifts to the constructor) under Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015.
