Carmarthenshire County Councils invites you to submit a bid for a Specialist Welfare Benefits and Financial Advice Service. The service aims to mitigate the impact that Welfare Reform and in particular, Universal Credit, will have on residents of Carmarthenshire. It will do so in a reactive and preventative way by enabling people to develop or maintain the skills and confidence required to live independently. The service will assist service user’s to better manage their money, accommodation and their health, and to access employment/education prospects. Rather than ‘doing for’ service users, the service will empower them (‘doing with’) to manage their own finances. The provider will provide relevant, specialist, independent and confidential advice and support for service users needing assistance in this area.
